Licensed Mental Health Therapists in Massachusetts

Licensed Therapist at North Shore Professional Therapy

Sarah, MS, LMHC

Hello there! I am Sarah Haugh (LMHC #8487). I am a Board Certified and Licensed Mental Health Clinical Counselor/Therapist who is highly trained and experienced in evidence-based therapy modalities.

My areas of expertise include helping women and teen girls who are struggling with Anxiety and Trauma related distress (from childhood or adulthood). I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology in 2011 and have been practicing professional counseling/therapy full-time in many settings including outpatient/office-based, school-based, and in-home.

I have fifteen years of experience in this great profession and I love it more and more each day!

I am also a self-proclaimed “empath”, married with two children and a blind rescue mixed-breed pup and love the beach, hikes, good food and restaurants with good/cozy vibes (the lighting matters)!

First and foremost, I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your healing. In our work, my mission is to empower you by drawing on your innate strengths and guiding you towards your wisdom. This can be a liberating and healing experience and provide the foundation for the repair of deep inner wounds you may have not known existed but may be fueling your distress. I place high value on understanding your distress from an ecological perspective that incorporates larger system involvement. For example, might you have been oppressed, neglected or harmed by societal, educational, or family systems throughout your life, and is this contributing to your emotional distress? In our work, you will be able to work through and understand how these past experiences have affected you so you are no longer triggered by “blind spots” and can feel more at peace and confident in the world and in your relationships.

In addition to being certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), I have obtained advanced trainings in cutting-edge therapy modalities for trauma and anxiety disorders. I implement a variety of evidence-based clinical and therapeutic modalities (such as CPT, EMDR and CBT) specifically targeting anxiety and trauma disorders. I also incorporate Holistic and Body Based approaches). I am also certified as a Clinical Nutrition and Mental Health Specialist. By integrating both Eastern and Western clinical modalities I provide a holistic and individualized healing experience that can better enable lasting transformation. I tailor my approach based on your unique strengths, needs and goals as well as your personal style and which modalities feel right for you. You can view my comprehensive list below.

I am very honored that you are considering me and I would love to connect with you to help you determine your goals and take this brave step in your journey. When we work together, hope can blossom and old patterns that are not working for you can be replaced with positive ones, leading to joy, serenity and the sense of safety you deserve.

Tina, MA, LMHC

Hi! I am Tina Morris (LMHC 10005763). I am a licensed mental health counselor/therapist who has advanced training and experience in trauma and PTSD. If you’re living with constant anxiety, feeling on edge all the time, replaying painful experiences, think your childhood may be impacting you, or struggling to feel safe in your own body or relationships, I understand and I am here for you.

My areas of expertise include helping teens, adults, couples, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or worn down by trauma, stress, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Many of the clients I work with come in feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together, unsure why their reactions feel so intense, or frustrated that talk therapy alone hasn’t fully helped.

As a trained EMDR therapist, I specialize in helping clients gently process trauma, PTSDanxiety, and depression so that painful memories, triggers, and body-based reactions lose their hold. EMDR can be especially helpful when you feel “stuck,” easily triggered, or know something happened in your past but aren’t sure how to move forward from it. I have worked extensively using this approach with clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I also integrate attachment-focused and skills-based approaches/modalities which include play therapy, Attachment Regulation Competency (ARC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Problem Solving Therapy, and mindfulness approaches. This allows therapy to be tailored to you, whether you’re working on calming your nervous system, building healthier relationships, managing anxiety, or supporting your child or family through emotional challenges.

My goal is to learn about, and help you achieve your goals while also helping you feel safer, more grounded, and more confident in your ability to cope not just in session, but in your real, everyday life. Together, we work toward healing at a pace that feels respectful, supportive, and manageable.I am passionate about guiding my clients through the healing process of trauma and coping with life’s challenges.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, visiting my 2 adult children (1 lives in Colorado, 1 lives in Florida), traveling, going for walks, and giving back to the community.

Jen, MS, LICSW

Hi, I’m Jennifer Padre, LICSW (License #120318). I am an independently licensed clinical social worker/therapist with more than 30 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and couples through life’s challenges and transitions.

Reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially when you’ve been carrying anxiety, stress, trauma, or emotional pain on your own for a long time, and I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood so that you can start to feel better. I understand how exhausting it can feel to constantly overthink, feel emotionally overwhelmed, struggle in relationships, or feel stuck in survival mode while trying to manage the demands of everyday life.

My areas of expertise include helping teens, adults and couples, who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or worn down by trauma, stress, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Many of the clients I work with come in feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together, unsure why their reactions feel so intense, or frustrated that general therapy alone hasn’t fully helped in the past.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals across outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, trauma-focused care, including first responders coping with trauma and PTSD. I am trained in evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I tailor treatment to each client’s unique strengths, needs, and goals, recognizing that no two people experience healing the same way. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, balanced, connected, empowered and with internal peace. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I believe you are the expert on your own experiences.

Together, we can work toward helping you feel more grounded, supported, and hopeful about the future. I believe healing happens when we look at the whole person, not just the symptoms. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, emotional dysregulation, or major life transitions, I work alongside you at a pace that feels safe and comfortable while helping you build practical tools for meaningful and lasting change.

You can become the driver in your life again!

Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family, children and friends, being outdoors, traveling, and exploring new places.

Alex Ryan, LICSW therapist at North Shore Professional Therapy

Alex, LICSW

Hi, I’m Alex Ryan, LICSW. I am a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience and I specialize in helping children, teens, and adults overcome anxiety, trauma, OCD, panic attacks, and the overwhelming stress that can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode.

If you’ve been feeling emotionally exhausted, constantly on edge, overwhelmed by relationships or physical manifestations of anxiety, parenting demands, or the lasting impact of difficult experiences, you’re not alone.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where we can better understand what’s contributing to your struggles while building practical tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I believe healing happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to tailor treatment to your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, build effective coping skills, and help you reconnect with your strengths and resilience.

I believe that while our past shapes us, it doesn’t have to define our future. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, recovering from trauma, struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, adjusting to a major life transition, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey. My hope is that you’ll leave each session feeling understood, empowered, and confident in your ability to move forward with greater peace and self-compassion.
